Spice Withdrawal Symptoms

How Bad Are Withdrawals From Spice?

There are many withdrawal symptoms people experience when they stop smoking synthetic marijuana for an extended amount of time.

Some might even have some withdrawal hours after their last hit. Other people are lucky enough to never experience any at all.

While death is not likely, a person going through spice withdrawal often feels like they are going to die without the drug.

This is because the synthetic cannabinoids have caused the reward sensors in the brain to become dependent on the chemicals in the herbal incense.

The brain starts to play tricks on you to make you think you really need Spice or K2. In all actuality, you will be better off without it.

Some of the most widely reported spice withdrawal symptoms include:

  • Uncontrollable vomiting, nausea and diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Extreme Sweating
  • Inability to sleep
  • Intense cravings for the drug
  • Depression
  • Loss of motivation
  • Psychotic episodes
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Inability to care about consequences

Here are a few stories posted by spice & K2 users to our site recently, describing their experience withdrawing from synthetic marijuana:

For Some, It’s As Bad As Quitting Crack or Heroin

Some claim that withdrawing from a synthetic cannabinoid addiction can be as hard, if not harder than, withdrawing from hard drugs including crack, heroin and opiates. For example, here are a few stories recently submitted to our site:

While it is horrible to have to go through these withdrawals, it is absolutely necessary in order to be free of herbal incense addiction.

If you are the person experiencing the withdrawal, just remember it is only temporary. Smoking more will only delay the process and will make all of the time you went through the withdrawal absolutely pointless. The faster you get through it, the closer you will be to quitting the drug.

Spice withdrawal is a horrible thing to experience. With a good support system and professional help you will be able to get through it and will be a much stronger person afterwards.

Take it from me, I was able to quit smoking incense.

If I can do it, I know anyone can.

  • I smoke for about 6 years worked a 12 hour job while on it. I I haven't touched it almost 11 months. I don't know how I was able to kick the stuff just stopped. But my side effects were sweating in my sleep and headaches seen people take a hit one time and completely become really intoxicated when I would hit a few times and be slightly buzzed. That's when I realized this drug was a lot like hard drugs. I've done meth benzos and coke. Experienced withdraws from only benzos and synthetic. Synthetic is by far the worst out of all them in my opinion. Ive been in the hospital for extreme nausea, heart papulations, and seizures. I have to say after the first 2 months I stopped sweating in my sleep but but my heartrate was really high for about 7 months. I'm just now starting to get my heart rate down to normal. The only thing I'm still experiencing is really bad insomnia. When you quit get you some vitamin supplements because you won't eat good for awhile . Drink alot of water and stay away from alcohol. I never thought I would be able to quit but look at me now I don't have one urge to smoke it. Oh switching back to cannabis if possible helps a bit too. For awhile cannabis had no effect on me but it will come back.
