My husband and I had been smoking spice together as a replacement for marijuana.
Two years go by, and my husband starting getting sick.
His diagnosis with each doctor was different:
- IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)
- gallbladder disease
- numerous others.
But one thing they did find was arsenic and lead, not digested.
After seeing 2 different gastroenterologists, his final diagnosis was cyclic vomiting syndrome with unknown causes.
He suffers everyday of his life with vomiting and abdominal pain – not to mention the compulsive showering, sometimes 30 times a day.
Our lives have been turned upside down.
I wonder why it didn’t make me sick?
Was it because he smoked more often?
It is 11/27/2015.
He hasn’t smoked spice in over 2 years and still is sick.
We are in the process of seeing a neurologist, in hopes that one day he will get better.
2 weeks ago, his kidneys weren’t working as they should, and his sleep habits are getting worse.
His anxiety is severe. He has moments where his heart beats like crazy, he feels crazy in his head.
I’m devastated to say there is no good ending in my story, but he did quit smoking and overcame the addiction.
