Someone close to me slowly grew addicted to this horrible combination. At first, it seemed like nothing but a weed alternative.
The withdrawal symptoms now are much worse than the symptoms two years ago, which makes one wonder how fast recipes are changing. This person had to have what we call “ren.” Without it they were mean and reserved.
Some batches would make them spazz out into violent episodes, which they would not remember when the high went away.
Almost all batches cause users to fall straight asleep, mid-smoke, which leads to the dropping of blunts, slouching while standing, burning themselves and things around them, etc.
Some recipes cause users to uncontrollably vomit. They acted unbearably goofy and could not walk while they were conscious.
Users can hit a ren blunt and instantly feel intense hunger. Whereas marijuana “munchies” usually kick in about 20-30 min after smoking. I’ve been dealing with this pain for 2+ years now and it’s only getting worse.
This is a drug that is so cheap and “my” user had to have it all the time- as soon as they were out they’re calling more. It’s definitely easier for shorter-term smokers to quit than longer-term.
Without their ren, I have witnessed them go through extreme symptoms begging for a blunt. Those include nausea, hardening of the stomach and abdominal muscles causing extreme diarrhea/stomach pain, extreme irritability, inability/no desire to eat/drink, etc.
I’ve heard of crazy ingredients such as roach spray being used on leaves. I’ve even seen people fail drug tests for meth after ren use.
