What an awful drug! I went back to spice smoking once getting on probation. I was just trying to substitute it for my drug of choice i.e. marijuana because I had heard that it won’t be detected on a drug test. But the problem with this is that once you start using it you will crave and crave more. It was damaging my health and relations with my family. I was even ready to spend my last dollar on a bag and borrow money shamelessly to get more.
Once I knew that it was time to quit as it could see it was stealing my soul away from me. It took me almost three days to get a day clean but I started suffering from sweating, insomnia and skin crawling. But finally I made it in few weeks.
The urge will come back but if you are determined you can conquer it. Everyone deserves to have his soul again. You also can do it with the family support. When I tried, it was too hard for me also. I went to a 12 step support group but the friends and family support was the main thing that helped me a lot. Getting clean is half the battle finding new things to do is the other half.
It is possible to have fun without having that high dose. It is uncomfortable at first but for people like me is necessary. If you too are struggling, you are not alone. But remember if you are truly an addict you should pick up where you left if off. You can get clean by focusing on it. Much love and hope from Washington State!
