I’m not very good at this, and I’m sure a ton of typos will show up, but please bear with me. I started smoking synthetic marijuana (legal or mojo is what our street name for it) close to seven years now.
I have been to rehab three times and medical detox four times because of this stuff. My ex who is now in a rehab (because of mojo) introduced me to it, I thought it was a miracle drug because it got me off of Roxie’s which I was really hooked on…well little did I know I was just creating a bigger beast for me to battle later down the road.
I loved synthetic as it got me high in one or two hits, and to be honest, the buzz was the shit (for me) instant D.O.C. It wasn’t until the first time I tried to quit on my own that I realized this shit int is going to be as easy as I’m thinking.
I opted out of medical detox this time because the wait for a bed was ridiculous everywhere, and finding a detox that considers mojo a real problem is almost impossible. Brentwood Behavior Hospital in Shreveport Louisiana took me, so if anyone needs help try them.
Day 1, first 3 hours without it! I started sweating, but I guess I still had enough built up in my system to hold me over still. That night sleep was impossible! Waking up every hour, wanting to get high and tossing and turning!
Day 2, throwing up nonstop cold sweats then burning hot. Started coughing up phlegm with tons of black shit in it which is good! My body is trying to get rid of this shit..drank an Ensure that helps! Try and keep it down!
Day 3, I ate a little today, still sweating, pissed the world. But the urge is decreasing, and that feeling of dreed is subsiding. Did I mention this is my first time doing this on my own? Well, it is, and it’s hard.
I’ve had to literally block half the people on my Facebook because they want to smoke. This detox will take at least a month to get to feeling noticeably different. To anyone going through this knows, I’m right by your side doing it as well.
We got this! Stay hydrated if you can. Even if it means letting an ice cube melt in your mouth. You have to put something into your stomach!!!!!!!! Nothing heavy!
Your stomach can’t work that hard right now! Ensure or Boost…shit even Slimfast will replace a meal, and you will get some nutrition. Stay cool!!!!! Always be in a cold room if you can.
And believe it or not, moving around (lightly) will help push the toxins out know this gets better day by day. I’m really trying this time, and I have no plans on going back to it. Stay strong! Keep your minds busy! We’re in this together ♥️
